The 2012 Hawaii Tourism Conference
"Together We Will Succeed"

Last week members of the project team felt privileged to participate in a very well-organized, informative and motivating conference hosted by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. E Hui ka Moku, or "Together We Will Succeed" was the theme of the conference

Dave - Conference

Keynote speakers and presenters from Hawaii, throughout the US and parts of Asia were present to share information about tourism trends, partnering opportunities, resources and tools available in the industry.

While all speakers were engaging and informative, the project team was especially impressed with the pair of presentations by members of our very own Hawaii Scenic Byways State Advisory Committee. Daniel Nahoopii's presentation, "Plotting Your Path With Data Visualization," focused on a new Dave and Stephanie HTAonline data warehousing feature though the HTA, and Stephanie Donaho's covered "Rockstar Strategies for Sponsorship Success." Did we mention that Daniel played a meaningful part with the chant and hula in the opening ceremony, or that Stephanie got everyone up and moving with her "rockstar stomp" at the beginning of her presentation?

Mahalo to both Daniel and Stephanie for their presentations, and to the HTA for facilitating our attendance.
