BRUNSWICK LIVES UNITED!
Brunswick Bowling and Lakeshore Storage sponsored a food truck with money raised by the employees. The employees volunteered to distribute the food. What a way to LIVE UNITED! Brunswick Bowling and Lakeshore Storage are planning another food truck in September. Brunswick Bowling employees also ran a great workplace United Way campaign, increasing employee giving by 22%. Way to go Brunswick Bowling!

100 mile bike ride to benefit United Way
An opportunity to challenge yourself and support your community. Thursday, September 6, at 8 a.m. - Benefits Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana counties. Start at the Hart-Montague Trail in Hart and end at DTE Energy, 2359 Olthoff Drive, Muskegon.
The Ride United committee is currently is search of century riders who are interested in volunteering or participating with this event as well as Premier Sponsors to partner with United Way of the Lakeshore and DTE Energy to bring this unique and health oriented event to our lakeshore.

The Lions are collaborating with an optometrist in Muskegon who is providing exams and glasses at a discount. There are funds with the Muskegon Community Foundation to help offset the costs.

Volunteer Center of West Michigan is seeking adult volunteers willing to serve as team leaders for the summer Youth Volunteer Corps program. YVC engages youth in service learning activities, such as working with special needs children at day camp, painting murals, engaging with the elderly and other projects. Projects are flexible and people can give a day, a couple of days, or one week. For more information, contact Volunteer Center of West Michigan at 231-722-6600.
The American Red Cross is seeking volunteers to help out during Muskegon Bike Time - July 20 and 21, 2012. People are needed to help wristband, check IDs and serve beverages at the concert. Funds raised will go directly to the Muskegon chapter of the Red Cross to help people in Muskegon County.
