VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

 

Join United Way of the Lakeshore staff by participating in Comcast Cares Day, Saturday, April 21, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1201 Jefferson, Muskegon.

RIDE UNITED 
 
United Way of the Lakeshore and DTE Energy are partnering to plan a bike tour fundraising event entitled RIDE UNITED scheduled for early September 2012.  Tentatively planned to be a 100 mile ride, the Ride United tour will begin in Hart and end in Marne. 
 
The Ride United committee is currently in search of additional committee members and century riders who are interested in planning, volunteering, and/or participating with this event.  For additional information please contact Laura Nugent at laura@unitedwaylakeshore.org.

Thursday, April 26:  Evening Manage Your Money, 7 p.m., Forest Park Covenant Church.  Healthy Eating Made Easy, 6:30 p.m., Forest Park Covenant Church.

The Salvation Army's food pantry shelves are almost bare. If you're able to donate food, please contact the Salvation Army at 231-773-3284, or visit them at 1221 Shonat in Muskegon.

Wednesday, April 18:  1 in 21 update meeting from 3 to 5 p.m. to hear the latest on Muskegon County's Health Ranking data and learn what's been happening with the 1 in 21 Healthy Muskegon County initiative.
