KINDNESS JOURNAL
Hoorah to the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade essay contact winners on how the "Kindness Journal" experience impacted their lives. Supported by United Way and other donors, over 6000 Kindness Journals were districuted to Muskegon County classrooms, homes and neighborhoods. The children recorded daily acts and observations of kindness. Jack Emery a 4th grader from Ravenna Public Schools wrote, "When you're there for someone, it makes you feel wonderful inside. My opinion about it is if someone needs you, then you should be standing right next to them." This project fits nicely with our mission to mobilize the caring power of our community to improve the lives of people in our lakeshore communities.
