UNITED WAY
CAMPAIGN UPDATE
On Nov. 17, United Way of the Lakeshore announced that the 2011 Muskegon County campaign is at more than 90% of its $2.85 million goal.

Campaign Chair Mary Boyd told the finale crowd at the Watermark 920 that the campaign will be extended until the first of the year. With some added effort in the next two months, the goal is still achievable, she noted.
"We've had some great successes in some divisions, and we'll be looking for other opportunities in the coming weeks," Boyd said. "The needs are great, and United Way has been a beacon of hope for Muskegon County who need support. We're reaching out to anyone who hasn't given and asking them to give if they can. Every dollar makes a difference."
