Don't miss your chance to be a part of the Symposium!
Under the leadership and expertise of some of Canada's top instructors, our mandate is to help paddlers explore current developments in paddling and to celebrate our Canadian Paddling Heritage. A variety of on-water and classroom sessions will focus on the various paddling disciplines including sea kayaking, river kayaking and canoeing.
We hope you can join us for a weekend of skill development, prefessional instructor development, stories and adventures, entertainment, paddling, news and information and, most importantly, fun.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
Rick Wise

TIDES, CURRENTS & SURF
Tides, currents, and surf are relentless forces for any coastal paddler, providing pace and rhythm (and a lot of excitement) to our ocean adventures. Instruction on tides, currents, and surf encourages our students to drink a cocktail of theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and specialized equipment. It's a heady brew, with inherent risks for our students. This workshop will review what facets of tides, currents, and surf get taught at what levels within the Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Program and provide a forum for exchanging tips and tricks in teaching specialized knowledge and skill in these dynamic waters. |
