Dear eMatrimony Subscriber,
Hello again! We are so sorry we have been out of touch! It has been a hectic spring (year?!), and we have been struggling to keep up with life and work. It may have been the same for you. We hope and pray that you are well, and that you will find something joyful or inspiring (or at least interesting) in our letter today!
Love, Hilary and Jon Olson

Stellar Community in Florida Panhandle
by Jeff and Rachelle Everts and Father Dennis O'Brien Ecclesial Team - NW Florida and SO Alabama / Section 5
A shining star in the WWME community is the Milton / Pace sharing group community which is located in the NW Florida in Section 5. This community has been together as a sharing group for nearly four years and have never wavered from their deep commitments to each other or to the WWME commitment of daily dialogue and the WWME lifestyle. Together, the couples of this community have gotten each other through separations, serious illness, child issues, financial issues, and trying times for our area and, yet, have remained a force to be reckoned with for WWME. An example would be when a member had what was expected to be a cancerous lump. The community prayed over her during a circle meeting on Saturday night and she was also anointed by their community priest. When she arrived at her pre-op MRI several days later, the lump had completely disappeared. The power of the community's prayer and the grace of our Lord were amazing in this case. The Milton / Pace community also showed their deep commitment to area weekends recently by helping with inviting couples to attend during Valentine's weekend. The result was an overflow crowd of 27 couples attending, with many from the community helping as baggage porters on Friday night and coming for the send off on Sunday.

Change in World and US Leadership
Tony and Cathy Witczak and Fr. Emile Frische have been the US Secretariat Team for a little over 2 years. They have been selected to be the new world leaders of WWME, a five year assignment as International Ecclesial Team. The new US Secretariat will be selected in October. Other leadership changes will be the selection of a North American Secretariat in July at a joint meeting between Canadian and US WWME leadership. The new International Ecclesial Team has this message to leadership around the world - "You are the ones changing the world! ... We love you for your faithfulness and dedication, for the joy and passion with which you proclaim the good news, for the growing miracles that you are!"
Fr. Emile, Cathy and Tony (from left).
The outgoing Ecclesial Team, David and Bronny Lea and Fr. John Rate, also wanted to share their appreciation with the couples of WWME. "We want to thank you for the wonderful inspiration you have all been to us throughout the world during our time of leadership. We will always keep deep in our hearts the memories of the different communities we have been blessed to visit, where we experienced a real depth in living our charism of dialogue and relationship 'to renew the Church and change the world', and a real creativity in dealing with the various challenges we have to face in our different parts of the world." Their full letter is posted on our web site ( English and Spanish). |
