Our Baker's Choice Breads
Josh, our baker, loves experimenting with bread recipes and creating new bread flavors. He draws inspiration from artisan bread books, bread baking websites, and you. This week, Josh is featuring two breads with kick: Parmesan Peppercorn and Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper.

Monday- Parmesan Peppercorn
Parmesan Peppercorn is a great savory bread with a bit of kick! Josh begins with water, flour, salt, and yeast, then he adds shredded parmesan cheese and cracked peppercorn to create a delicious and distinguished flavor. You get a punch of pepper in every bite! Parmesan Peppercorn will be available on Monday for $3.79/loaf.

Wednesday- Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper
We are featuring a Stick Boy original: Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper. When I first started working at the Stick Boy store in Boone, I fell in love with this simple bread. It has an incredible flavor, a nice texture, and a bit of kick. It's a pure and simple bread that perfectly compliments any dish. Try it with baked chicken, broiled fish, roasted pork, or spaghetti and meatballs. I promise, you won't be disappointed. This bread with kick will be available on Wednesday for $3.79/loaf.

Peppermint Ganache Cake
This is my very favorite holiday dessert! Our Peppermint Ganache Cake is four layers of rich chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and peppermint buttercream fillings. It is wrapped in peppermint buttercream, topped with a blanket of ganache and garnished with crushed peppermint. Wow, I can't wait to have another slice!

We offer a local drop-off site for your gently used eye wear. Come in when you can and donate your unwanted eyeglasses. All eyeglass donations go directly to our local Lion's Club, and are then shipped to one of the many Lion's Club Eyeglass Recycling Centers, where volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses. Most of the recycled glasses are distributed to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact. The Lion's Club can accept prescription and reading glasses, sunglasses and plastic and metal frames. Children glasses are especially needed. Stop by or call us for more information.

Chef Sharon earned an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Wake Technical Community. Her culinary style combines elegance with simplicity, together providing each student with a truly memorable event. Chef Sharon believes in a hands-on approach to teaching customers of any age. "It's the only way to build confidence in cooking," says Chef Sharon. The classes are fun and interactive, while being educational. It's all about turning the ordinary into something extraordinary.

The cost is $45 per person per class or $200 per person for 5 classes. Each class discusses healthy cooking tips for each dish and in general what one can do to cook healthier each day. Classes have no more than 10 people per class so individual attention is assured! Classes will begin in January.
