| Peppermill Family Restaurant Opens in Downtown Fuquay-Varina |
| The most delightful restaurant has opened in downtown Fuquay-Varina!! Peppermill Family Restaurant, located at 129 N. Main Street, serves a full menu for lunch and dinner that would suit almost any taste! You'll find sandwiches, burgers, healthy salads and soups, traditional southern food, Italian food, seafood, a wide range of family favorites (think pork chops, chicken dishes, steaks, etc.) and weekly specials. There's a children's menu and kids eat free with an adult dinner that exceeds $7.99 (some exclusions apply). The menu offers beer and wine, as well as a wide range of desserts!
Peppermill has been well-received in downtown and busy everyday (and night!) Make sure to check out this gem! Open daily from 11 am - 9 pm, and on Friday and Saturday 11 am - 10 pm. For take out, call 557-8316. |

 Tons of fun! That's what you can expect at the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Cruise-In on Friday, June 19 from 5 - 9 pm. You'll find classic cars and car enthusiasts, but you'll also find much, much more.
The Mayor of Mamers is a wonderful reason to attend the event. This somewhat crazy disc jockey spins really fun music and gets the crowd dancing with such favorites as the Electric Slide, the Macerena and The Chicken Dance. There's even a hula hoop contest for the kids! If music isn't your thing, then eating great food from Melvins' Hamburgers and drinking an Elliotts world famous orangeade may do the trick. Whatever brings you to downtown for the Cruise-In, make sure to explore the unique shops and restaurants.  Cars will be located in the large public parking lot located at the corner of Main and Vance Streets across from Cooley's Restaurant and in the private lot behind the restaurant. Look for cars on the paved parking lot at W. Vance Street and Spring Avenue and on Raleigh Street which will be closed to motor traffic at 4:00 pm. For a map, go to www.Fuquay-VarinaDowntown.com.
The Cruise-In offers families a great opportunity to get out for a night of inexpensive, family-filled fun close to home. "We were thrilled to see so many families with children at our May event," said Kathy Barnes, Promotions Chairman for the Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association. "The kids just loved the music and dancing."
Pre-1975 cars are welcome and there is no fee to display a car. While at the event, cruisers can register for a variety of door prizes supplied by the stores in downtown Fuquay-Varina. There will be a 50/50 drawing at 8:30 pm. Anyone can purchase a ticket for $5.00 at the Information Booth located in the Large Parking Lot Across From Cooley's. Proceeds will benefits the Fuquay Cruisers and Downtown Revitalization. A flyer with information about the Cruise-In event can be downloaded at www.Fuquay-VarinaDowntown.com.
The event is sponsored by the Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association, Fuquay Cruisers and Haddock Collision Centers. The Music Sponsor is Tilley Bros. Body Shop.

| Stephen's Hardware Awarded SHARP Designation by NC Department of Labor. Please Plan to Attend Ceremony on Wednesday, June 24 |
The North Carolina Department of Labor has awarded the SHARP designation to Stephens Supply Company, Inc of Fuquay-Varina. Commissioner Cherie Berry will present STEPHENS' with a plaque in recognition of achieving the SHARP designation on Wednesday June 24, 2009.
The SHARP designation is a Safety & Health achievement recognition program in cooperation with OSHA.

Old Fashioned Fourth of July Planned for July 4 from 2-7 at Fuquay Mineral Spring Park |
Start making plans to attend an "Old Fashioned Family Fourth of July" at the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park hosted by the Centennial Committee. The event will be held on Saturday, July 4th from 2-7 pm.
You'll want to make sure to gather the children and grandchildren for these fun activities:
· Children's Parade (2:00 pm)
· Live entertainment (2:30 - 4:30 pm)
· Old fashioned games, including marbles, horse shoes and many more, for the children throughout the day.
· There will be hotdogs at 5 pm. Lemonade, water and ice cream will be available.
· There will be dancing after dinner at 7 pm
· Make sure to bring chairs and blankets!
This Old Fashioned Family Fourth will be much like our fore fathers celebrated the 4th in 1909! Come be a part of the history!

Come join us for a fun filled week of fitness, dance and activities. Daily themes include Cheerleading, Jazzercise Idol and Hip Hop! Registrations currently being accepted and include rising Kindergarten - rising 5th graders. Camp is daily from 1-4pm and will include a Jr. Jazzercise class, games, crafts and snack time. Just a reminder, next week Monday, June 15 - Thursday June 18 we will be closed to spend some time vacationing with our families. We will reopen on Friday June 19 and will be open until 9pm, we will have live music in the store and the Cruise-In will be happening downtown from 5pm - 9pm.
We have added a calendar to our webpage. Please let folks know that they can visit www.StickBoyFuquay.com and click on the "calendar" to see when we're open late and when we're hosting live music. The calendar also lists our Baker's Choice breads, and Downtown Fuquay events.
The Stick Boy Popsicle's have been very Popular this past week and we wanted to be sure everyone got a chance to try them, so we are making them the Treat of the Week again! We know, you're used to reading about bread, pastries, coffee and desserts, but Josh and Katie wanted to try something new and popsicles are great! We've been testing our pops all spring and we're giving them a try. This week, we will have four great popsicle flavors: Mango, Coconut, Cherry Limeade, and Chocolate Espresso.
Our Flavor of the Week is Root beer Float. If you like to enjoy a big mug of Root beer with some vanilla ice cream then you will LOVE our Root beer Float Pop!
