| 1ST CRUISE-IN THIS FRIDAY, MAY 15 AT 5-9 PM |
| Whether you drive a classic car or just like them, you'll love the Cruise-In Series in Downtown Fuquay-Varina this summer. Last year, more than 200 cars and 2500 people came downtown to experience classic cars, rockin' music and great American food in Fuquay-Varina's charming downtown setting.
This free event take place from 5-9 pm the third Friday of each month from May through July in downtown historic Fuquay-Varina.
The first Cruise-In is Friday, May 15th.
Cars will be located in the large public parking lot located at the corner of Main and Vance Streets across from Cooley's Restaurant and in the private lot behind the restaurant. Look for cars on the paved parking lot at W. Vance Street and Spring Avenue and on Raleigh Street which will be closed to motor traffic at 4:00 pm. For a map, go to www.Fuquay-VarinaDowntown.com.
The Mayor of Mamers will rock downtown with great music and all-American food will be available onsite from Melvin's Hamburgers and Elliotts Pharmacy lunch counter for a small fee. However, there are many restaurants to choose from all over downtown Fuquay-Varina, so feel free to explore.
Jazzercise of Fuquay-Varina will perform around 6:30 pm!
The Cruise-In offers families a great opportunity to get out for a night of inexpensive, family-filled fun close to home. This year, Fuquay-Varina is celebrating our Centennial and these cars represent a great deal of history, so they fit right in with our celebration. Make sure to see them!
Pre-1975 cars are welcome and there is no fee to display a car. While at the event, cruisers can register for a variety of door prizes supplied by the stores in downtown Fuquay-Varina.
There will be a 50/50 drawing at 8:30 pm. Purchase tickets at the Information Booth located in the parking lot across from Cooley's Restaurant. Cost: 1 Ticket for $1 or 6 tickets for $5.00. Proceeds will benefits the Fuquay Cruisers and Downtown Revitalization.

St. Bernadette's Church will hold an International SpringFest on Friday, May 22 from 5 pm to 11 pm and on Saturday May 23, from 11 am to 11 pm.
This is a perfect opportunity to bring family and friends together for fun, food and games. We will be having food, beer, bingo, bake sale, silent auction, 50/50 draw, Big Money Wheel, music and dancing and much, much more. We will have plenty of children's games and prizes. Cruise-in to downtown for the Cruise-In this Friday, May 15th! It will be tons of fun! Melvins will be onsite offering their world famous hamburgers and hotdogs and Elliotts will be selling their devine lemonade and orange-ades! If you're looking for a sit-down dining experience, check out Cooley's Restaurant or pick-up a $1.00 off coupon at the Information Booth for Joyce and Family Restaurant. The buffet can't be beat!
While you're at the Information Booth (located in the large parking lot across from Cooley's Restaurant) pick-up information on all this summer's scheduled Cruise-In events or get a Celebration of the Art's Bookmark (It lists all our events for the year!).
