| Downtown Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 11 at 10 am |
The Easter Bunny hops in to downtown on Saturday, April 11 bringing 9000 candy and toy filled eggs and over 30 special eggs with special prizes. The event will be held at the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park and Inn and will have three separate hunts by age group starting at different times. The schedule for the FVRA Easter Egg Hunt and locations are as follows: 10:00 am - Under Age 2 will be located behind the Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn; 10:15 am - Ages 3, 4 and 5 will be located on the Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn Lawn; 10:30 am - Ages 6-10 will be located at the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park. Parents are strongly encouraged to let their children hunt for eggs on their own as this makes the adventure more fun for the little ones and fair to all the children involved in the event. Children up to 10 years old are welcome. Here are some other things to note. If your little one finds a special egg, redeem it for a prize at the prize table located at the Masonic Lodge. Bring a basket. Parents will also want to bring a camera to capture a photo with the Easter Bunny who will arrive about 9:30 a.m. Each hunt will start on time so please be prompt! There will be plenty of volunteers to help guide you. Look for folks in orange jackets and/or bunny ears if you need directions or help. In case of a drenching rain, take your children to the Fuquay-Varina Community Center located at 820 S. Main Street between 10:00-11:00 a.m. and Easter Eggs will be handed out. If there's just a sprinkle, the event will be held. The Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn is located at 333 South Main Street (Hwy. 401) just south of historic downtown Fuquay-Varina. The Fuquay Mineral Spring Park is located directly across from the Inn. Parking is available in the large parking lot across from Cooley's Restaurant and on side streets in downtown Fuquay-Varina. The Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by the Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association, the Town of Fuquay-Varina, Engstrom & Cheek Orthodontics, David Anthony Gifts, the Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn, Jazzercise, Johnson Pond Learning Center, Main Street Dance, Magnolia Custom House Framing, the Masonic Lodge and Patriot State Bank.
