Dear Family and Friends,
So much happens every year. It is easier to share all the Davila Family news with the most people in an electronic newsletter. Enjoy!
Don't forget to download the images to see pictures of the kids. They are growing so big!

Year in Review
I'm sure I say this every year, but really...where did the year go? As usual, our year was full of...school, Hebrew School, Girl Scouts, friends, work, etc. and the not so usual....
In July, Gramma and PopPop took the kids and me to Hawaii! We had an amazing time. We snorkeled, took a helicopter ride, and visited the most beautiful sites. Check out our trip here.
The whole family went up to Berkeley for Asher's 4th birthday. Cousin Alex took family pictures for the first time in years. Check out some of the photos here.
Overall, it was a good year. Dad still takes lots of pictures and posts them on his website... www.barliantwisch.com. I'm pretty active on Facebook so friend me for my updates.

Ashley- 8 years, 3rd Grade
Ashley has so much personality now. She likes playing with her friends and picking on her brother.
She is in 3rd grade this year and just started Hebrew School too. Her teachers love her. She is still doing Girl Scouts. She loves to listen to music and watch cat videos on YouTube. She still likes to act like a cat too!

Alex- 12 years, 7th Grade
A big bad Sevvy, Alex is in middle school now and preparing for his Bar Mitzvah (Coming soon June 16, 2012!). He is doing a college prep elective called AVID and taking on more community service.
He still likes to play video games, teach his little cousin about legos, cook and go shooting with PopPop.

Damian
Damian celebrated his 2nd year anniversary with Sparkletts and is still going strong. He loves his job and the people he works with. He knows it doesn't get better than this! Damian has found something worthwhile to do with Alex. Together they feed the hungry at the St. Vincent's food project. It is part of Alex's Bar Mitzvah training program, but Damian really enjoys it.

Rachael
I'm not sure I can take anything else on this year. I'm still working as a virtual assistant, teaching Preschool Sunday Morning and K-2 Youth Group coordinator. I've added teaching First grade Sunday morning and started writing romance novels. I'm working on three right now. Hopefully next newsletter, I'll be able to link to my published works! |
