Get Clear! When I started my business, I found The Secret, otherwise known as the Law of Attraction. To attract what you want, you need to be clear in your mind what that is. Over the years, I've tried to use this thought process and get clear on the direction I want to take my business. Sometimes its easy, sometimes I lose focus. My business has changed so much over the years and I can look back where I was crystal clear and where I was foggy. I've focused on keeping the pieces together and separate, marketing one area more than another, even stopped thinking about an area all together. I can look back and see where my positive and negative thinking has brought me a full practice and then a barely there practice. The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, usually falls in September and I take the opportunity to reflect on the past year and figure out my direction for the new. I also do this in December for the following calendar year. Regardless when I take stock, I always try to create a clear picture of where I want my business to go and what steps I need to do to get there. Tip: I find that I can think clearer, with more creativity, when my environment is clear and uncluttered. More times than not, when my environment is messy, cluttered and overwhelming, my head feels that way too. Sometimes it means clearing out a drawer, cleaning the top of my desk or just taking the garbage out.
