Relax...Refresh...Renew

Summer!  Lazy days, no school, warm sunny weather!  When I worked my corporate job, summer was a time of worry--money for camp, schedule changes, no more vacation time! Now that I'm a work-at-home mom, summer is less stressful.  Somehow my business manages to slow down.  Clients and customers go on vacation, my kids are home for Camp Mom and I TAKE time to slow down and recharge my batteries from our regular full schedule.  

Taking time!  What a concept!  In my corporate life, "vacation" time was taking care of the kids when they were sick--usually within the first two weeks of the year.  Now, vacation time means vacation.  In fact this summer, we're going to Hawaii.  I'm bringing my phone and my iPad, but NOT my computer!  I'll be nearly unplugged!

It's taken a long time, but as a business owner, taking time to really relax and get away from the office renews my spirit so when I come back, I'm refreshed with the energy to support my clients.
