Connecting the Dots...
Healthy Perspective...Put it in God's In Basket A few years ago, I had a thriving, full virtual assistance business and life was good. Then, the economy tanked and my business took a very BIG hit. I lost all but one client in a month. Scary! Luckily I found a coach with lots of love and patience. That was a very dark time for me and my family. I was so afraid, and fear made me reactive rather than proactive.
My coach helped me flip my perspective and take a step back. When I did that, I saw how flawed my business had been. I had wonderful clients, but some were not ideal for me. I knew then what I would have to do. I took the downtime to examine my business and the cracks in my foundation. Then I spent the next few years filling them in and making my business stronger.
Along the way, I adopted the motto..."Put it in God's In Basket." If you believe in God, a higher power, or The Universe, then you know you have to have faith that your prayers will be answered, but not in YOUR time, but God's. Every time I got anxious of how slowly things were going, I would have to take a step back, breathe and remember it would work out in time.
Humans are not very patient, and while I try to be, I have days when I feel like a young child and want what I want NOW! That is when I most have to step back and put things into a Healthy Perspective.
After nearly 3 years of working, growing, and believing...God is sending good things to MY in-box. I have two new clients whom I adore and are ideal for me. My family is in a good space and I see light filtering in throughout our imagined tunnel! Still with all this new found extra, I hunger for more and get anxious for it to happen NOW. I find myself, even with all my practice, having to step back, breathe, and Believe!
