Dear Family and Friends,
Since funds are tight this year, I'm doing the Davila family newsletter via email. This way I can showcase my talents with Constant Contact and keep you informed! Enjoy!
Don't forget to download the images to see pictures of the kids. They are growing so big!

Year in Review
When I think back on this year, I think...Where did the year go? Our year was full of the regular...school, Hebrew School, Girl Scouts, friends, work, etc. and the not so regular....
We were thankful to be able to go to Chicago during Spring Break and enjoy our last visit with Grandma Bernice. She enjoyed spending the time with the kids and we were able to give her our love and say good-bye. Damian was so helpful that we were able to take her places. She loved taking a walk around the neighborhood. She died peacefully in July, just shy of her 93rd birthday.
We had visits with Jeannine and her family, including a cousins' visit during Spring Break, when PopPop and Gramma took the kids up to Berkeley for Dinah's 1st birthday. The Cohen's came down to San Diego during the summer for my dad's 60th birthday bash. Then all of us went up again in October for Asher's 3rd birthday and Halloween.
The kids dressed up and introduced Asher to the wonderful world of trick-or-treating.
Overall, it was a good year. Dad still takes lots of pictures and posts them on his website... www.barliantwisch.com. I'm pretty active on Facebook so friend me for my updates.

Ashley- 7 years, 2nd Grade
Ashley is turning into quite the lovely young lady. Becoming more and more a girlie girl. She likes playing with her friends and picking on her brother.
She is in 2nd grade this year and doing well. Her teachers love her. In May, she bridged from a Daisy to a Brownie, see the pictures here. She lost 4 teeth this year and is very excited about that!

Alex- 11 years, 6th Grade

Alex is growing up so fast into a young man. If allowed, he would spend his days playing video games, legos, cooking or making movies with PopPop and his friends.
He is doing so well in school and his teachers love him. He's making good choices, except when Ashley picks on him too much and he retaliates. He has started his Bar Mitzvah training, so SAVE THE DATE: June 16, 2012!

From our family to yours...May you have a happy holidays and a prosperous New Year!

Damian
Damian celebrated his 1 year anniversary with Sparkletts and is still going strong. He loves his job and the people he works with. He knows it doesn't get better than this! When he has the time and energy, he plays with his hot rod or the kids. According to Ashley, he is the funniest family member.

Rachael
Busy as a bee, I am! I've been working hard for the last few years and my hard work is starting to pay off. My business is growing client by client. I have been traveling more and I really enjoy that! Even though I broke my foot at the beginning of this school year, I'm healed and back to volunteering and teaching. |
