Greetings!
"Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action." ~W.J. Cameron
It is easy to give Thanks during November, we dedicate a whole holiday for it. But practicing Gratitude is a Law of Attraction that should be practiced daily. They say it takes 30 days to make something a habit, so last year, two of my friends started a 30 day project called 30 Days of Thanks. You might have seen people participating on Facebook, Twitter or their blogs. Read up on it and participate if the message calls to you! When we, as business owners, get busy, we tend to look at our ever growing "To-Do" list and get overwhelmed by all we still have to do. What if we gave thanks for what we accomplished instead? Susan Heid, a mom coach, wro te, "A good friend of mine told me that I should look at what I have done and she had a cleaver phrase for this a 'Ta Dah' list. We are so good at looking at the things we didn't get done, or what we could have done that we miss the things that we DID get done!"Instead of focusing on what still needs to be done, let's make a habit of being Thankful for all our accomplishments. Keep your to-do list handy, but focus on your "Ta-Dahs" instead! 30DoT#4: I am Thankful for all my newsletter readers! Thank you for taking time each month to join me! |

| Constant Contact | Spring Cleaning in the Fall? Constant Contact offers you the ability to track your email bounces. There are two kinds of bounces: hard and soft. Hard bounces are email addresses with fatal flaws. Some are fixable, misspelled names or missing punctuation, while others are not, closed accounts. Soft bounces are email addresses that might be undeliverable due to full mailboxes or vacation messages.
Tip: Take time each month to manage your bounces!
Managing your bounces saves you money and maintains your deliverability. Since you are paying for each unique email address, removing non-existent email addresses from your bounce reports reduces the number you are charged for. When you continuously send emails to addresses that bounce, your Internet Service Provider may notice this and assume you are not a responsible email marketer and give you a higher SPAM score, making your emails harder to deliver.

| Send Out Cards | Personalize your message!
Do you ever walk down the card aisle or browse an online card catalog and not find the perfect message? You know what you want to say, but can't find the right card.
Tip: Write your own card.
With quotes and your own personal message you can customize your card for any situation. I use Google to find quotes based on holidays or events and pick the one that calls to me. Then I craft my message to the person. Perfect card every time!

| Promotional Products | This little piggy went promoting... My client used to rep a Plush Toy company. Last year, he sent an email offering his customers a turkey or a ham for sending in up to date contact information in response to the email. Most of his customers thought it was a real turkey or ham, but it turned out to be both a turkey and pig stuffed animal.
Tip: What creative touch can you add to your holiday promotions?
In addition to the stuffed animals, my client enclosed his holiday greeting card and a magnet with his schedule of shows for 2010. His customers were talking about his holiday promotion all year. Each time they showed a customer the pig or turkey, his name was in their minds!
