Greetings!
"Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world." -unknown
June is my birthday month! The first birthday I celebrated with my step-mom, Diana, she told me in her family they celebrated birthdays for the entire month. Now that was a tradition I could get on board with!
June is not only the month I was born, but also the month I birthed my son, 11 years ago, and my business, 5 years ago. I have much to celebrate!
I have spent the last year looking inward for the gift I bring to the world. Each of us is unique and brings a specialness to those around us. I have found that I love being a Virtual Assistant, a trainer, and a mentor.
While I am actively pursuing what I love to do, I realize that that is my "gift of me" for the world. I am good at what I do and it makes me feel great to know that my students and buddies learn so much from me.
While we celebrate birthdays as the day we are born, I truly feel that we can be born over and over again throughout our lives. I feel like this year is a year of re-birth for my professional life.
What birth can you celebrate this month?

Send Out Cards
|
How do you organize your cards now? Do you buy greeting cards with
intentions of sending them out, but lose track of them before you can? Do you
find them but can't seem to send them out on-time?
Well, here is how I stay organized using Send Out Cards.
- Get a calendar to track who you need to send a card to each month.
Personally, I use a permanent birthday calendar, like this one, that Diana gave me. It has a page for each month with the dates in a list. I am able to track birthdays and anniversaries by month. - Create a spreadsheet with your contact's first name, last name, address(including City, State, and Zip Code), and birthday/anniversary.
- Rather than going out to buy cards each month, I log onto my Send Out Cards account and either pick a card or create a campaign for that month's birthdays. I have a general birthday card, a kid-girl card and a kid-boy card ready to go.
- Upload your contact list to your Contact Manager.
- I do a search for the upcoming birthday month and compare the list to my calendar. Then I think about any other special events or appreciation cards I want to send.
- I pick a day, usually a week before the first of the month to create and schedule all my special cards for the following month. Send Out Cards will send my card immediately, on the contact's birthday or on a specific date of my choosing.
This usually takes me less than 10 minutes each month and all the people I want to acknowledge are in the queue.Tip: Once you are organized and your contact's information is in your account, you won't have to add it in again.
Honor the Fathers in your life and send them a Father's Day card! We usually remember our own fathers or husbands, but what about your brother or brother-in-law who is a father, a special uncle or cousin. They will be touched that you remembered them as well!
