Brief but to the Point

Tip: When sending an email, challenge yourself to write what I call the 1-Line Email. Your entire message should only take up one line on your computer monitor as you type it.
Here's an example of a 1-line email:
I am working on 2012 budgets. Could you please send me ROI outcomes of our '09 advertising budget by 10-14-11? Thanks!
As you become more aware of the length of your emails, you'll be amazed at what you can communicate with less words. While some of your emails will not be able to be contained to just 1-line, you will become better at organizing your thoughts and getting to the point more quickly.
Give it a try!
