Cell Phone Etiquette

Enjoying a big vacation doesn't happen without some advance planning. Likewise, getting a lot of work done in your office doesn't happen without putting some thought and planning into it. One of the first things highly productive people will tell you is that they do everything possible to arrive to work a few minutes early without stress.

Planning to be productive begins the night before. Here are 4 areas to pay attention to at home. While these four items may appear to be simple strategies, you'd be surprised at how detrimental they can be when ignored.

  1. Get a good night's rest. Research consistently shows we need 7+ hours of sleep each night. Know your body and what it needs. If you're easily awakened by noise or light, consider running a fan or installing room darkening shades.
  2. Plan your wardrobe before going to bed. It's amazing how much time you can spend in the morning hunting down the brown belt to match the brown shoes, polishing up those scuff marks or figuring out the right necklace to wear.
  3. If you bring your lunch from home, do as much prep as possible before going to bed. This way you'll insure that you won't ditch it at the last minute if you're running late and then spend money eating out at work.
  4. Charge your cell phone while you sleep so you're not stressed over a low battery on your way to work. Keep your charge cord in the same place so you always know where it is. Use the Mobile Phone Charger Holder to keep your cords neat and organized.
