Register for our Open House & Fall Product Program Rally Everyone  Open House

Girls, families & troops are all invited to join us on Saturday, September 22, 2012.  This free event will take place at our Irvine Headquarters from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Plan for your experience to take about an hour.  Register online by Sept. 12 and receive a prize!  Fun activities, snacks, shopping, earn a patch, service projects & more.  Download the flyer

The start of a new school year is a great time to review basic troop information. To find all your information in one accessible place, please refer to the Volunteer Essentials Resource Book (VERB) - a handbook for volunteers, full of pertinent information, links and tips for everything from first Daisy meetings to Globetrotting Ambassadors! Check out this website for tips and tricks of creating a PSA, and enter the contest to send a message to the presidential candidates telling them what they can do to help support girls today!
 
Fit Fair - Sept 15 Everyone    
 Ready, set, get fit! Receive some good fitness advice from a fitness specialist. Participate in games, a raffle, eat healthy snacks, and more!

All About Girls Theater Production Troop - Auditions Sept. 24 & 25  Everyone  
 Open call auditions for any girl who wants to take the stage in the musical "Dear Edwina Jr." Try out for a part as Queen Boola Boola, Fair Forkmother, or one of the other zany characters of this musical for all ages. Backstage crew and production assistant positions also available!Pumpkin Fest 2012 - Oct 6  Everyone
Girl Scouts are invited to participate in this fun event sponsored by Orange SU 1 and Ambassador Troop 560.  Girls will enjoy picking a pumpkin, a hay ride, candy apple, potlatches, and photo ops.

Want to be prepared for life after high school? Get the scoop on budgeting your future income, building credit, and more. This workshop is a great addition to the "On My Own" badge and "Good Credit" badge and offers valuable info for parents too!

Placentia Parade - Oct 13 Everyone
Join the Girl Scouts from Placentia as we continue to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting.  Girl Scouts will be the honorary Grand Marshall at the 48th Annual Placentia Heritage Parade. See flyer for more info.

Healthy Relationships Workshop  - Oct 20  shorthand - seniors shorthand ambassadors 
Girl Scout troop #2411 invites all older Girl Scouts to attend an important workshop on Healthy Relationships and Prevention of Teenage Domestic/Dating Violence.  This program was last year's GSOC Distinguished Service Award winner and space is limited.  Questions, contact Donna at gs2411@roadrunner.com

Scouting for Food 2012 - Oct 27 Everyone 
Participate in our annual food collection in collaboration with the OC Boy Scouts of America and Second Harvest Food Bank of OC!  Collect food at your school or community location leading up to Oct. 27 or collect from neighbors that day. Understanding the Native American Badge Event - Nov 10 shorthand-brownies Juniors
Experience the Bowers Kidseum as you create a  coil pot, make sand art, taste traditional foods, and enjoy a Pow Wow with Native American dancers to earn your UNA badge! Space is limited, registration opens Sept. 17

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Dec 1 & 2 Everyone 
Come watch how dancers perform this iconic Dr. Seuss play. Working on your Brownie Dancer badge? Get some inspiration for your own dance moves while you enjoy the show!

  Camp Scherman

Spend the Day at Camp Scherman - Oct 20 or 21

Troops, families and friends enjoy a day filled with Autumn fun! Try your skills at traditional camp activities while taking in the beauty of the San Jacinto Mountains. Canoe together on our lake, test your skills at archery and pick some tasty treats from our flourishing garden. Seal Beach shop / pick-up center is now open!

Our Seal Beach pick-up center is now open and available as an option when checking out online or ordering items in the shop! We'll be there every Tuesday from 9:00am-1:00pm, and 2:00pm-5:30pm. We'll have a shop there as well, and we'll be selling uniform essentials, Journey Books, Girl's Guides, and Journey Award patches.
