Register for August Kickoff Classes
Are you coming to the August Kick-Off on Saturday? Click here to view the schedule of workshops and seminars. Peruse the lists, and choose the one you want by clicking on the class title. This link will take you to the class registration page in eBiz. You will be asked to log in to eBiz to complete your registration. Although you are using the "check out" feature, your shopping cart amount will be $0. You do not need to pay for individual classes. Once you have clicked "process my order," be sure to print your class choice by clicking on the print button.

In celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Girl Scouts, four¬time Emmy® nominee and two¬time Golden Globe® nominated actress Patricia Richardson ("Home Improvement") stars with Jessalyn Gilsig ("Glee") and Bailee Madison ("Just Go With It") in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere, "Smart Cookies." The movie premieres on the Hallmark Channel on August 18th at 9 pm. Read about the movie and watch an interview with Bailee Madison, star of the film as she talks about Girl Scouts.

Build a brighter future for girls by logging on to GirlScouts.org/Tools4U, where you'll find a wealth of online resources: the Make Your Own badge site, My Girl Scout Calendar app, an online library of badges, and a cool communications tool. You can also enter to win Starter Kits for the upcoming membership year. But hurry-you must enter by September 30, 2012! (Use the option that says "If you didn't receive a code, click here to get one.")
Karen "Scooter" Gose Memorial Scholarship
We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of our Girl Scout family, Karen "Scooter" Gose in July. Karen dedicated herself to helping others and worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for 7 years before carrying that dedication over to nursing school. Karen graduated from the Mt. SAC Nursing program just a few weeks before she passed away and a week later, she officially received her RN license. A scholarship has been established in her name to support other EMTs pursuing their dream of becoming nurses. To donate to the scholarship fund, please visit http://scholarships.givetomtsac.org/. Select "Karen Gose Memorial Scholarship" from the drop down Scholarship List under the Gift Information section and proceed to fill out the online donation form. You may also mail a check (with the name of the scholarship in the purpose line) to:
