From the Daisy Flower Garden to Justice . . .

Share your Journey experience at Augustgirl scout journeys Kickoff!  We are looking for all levels of adults and girls to share their Journey experiences with other leaders at August Kick Off on August 18th.  Please contact smassick@girlscoutsoc.org if you'd like to participate, or for more details.  The full list of Journeys can be seen here.

 

 Join the Service Unit Product Program Team

Service Units are recruiting now for these exciting positions for the Fall Product Program:

 

girl scout 2012 fall product program SU Product Manager- Supports Troop Product Managers, reviews reports and coordinates the other 3 positions; requires Excel proficiency   

SU Drop Shipment Coordinator - receives, collates and distributes materials and recognitions

SU Distributor - takes delivery of product and distributes to troops

Booth Sale Coordinator - Sets up sites for fall & cookie booths, requires Excel proficiency

 Inspiring Women Timeline and Videos

Check out the new Inspiring Women Timeline. Read and share stories dating back to inventor Sybilla Masters (1710s); lawyer and voting-rights advocate Mary Ann Cary (1850s and 60s); golfer Margaret Abbot (1900s); pilot Jackie Cochran (1940s); and scientist Chien-Shiung Wu (1970s). The timeline is an inspiring ride that will include dozens more women in the coming year.

 

Celebrate National Parks & Recreation Month

Join Girl Scout Alumna and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez on Saturday, July 28th for a meet and greet and park cleanup at Santiago Park in Santa Ana.  More info

We're almost there - just 4 days until over 20,000 Girl Scouts take over the OC Fair on July 27th!  Click here for Event Information

 

There's Fun for Everyone All Day!

Over 800 troops, volunteers, alumnae and friends of Girl Scouts will be rockin' the Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Plan out your day at the Fair. Read the full schedule of activities!

 

Girl Scout Songs, New and Old

Join Girl Scouts of all ages and alumnae and sing your favorite Girl Scout songs, new and old, at 2:45 pm in the Hangar!  All alumnae will receive a commemorative Alumnae button!

 

Still Need to Purchase Tickets?

You can purchase regular price admission tickets ($11) before the Rockin' Rally at 10:30 am at the Pacific Amphitheater box office or purchase them online to avoid the rush.

 

$2 Tastings, Rides and Games

From noon through 4 pm, enjoy $2 food tastings, $2 rides and $2 games until 4 pm!  Click here for a list of $2 tastings.

Bring your camera and be sure to snap pics of the memorable events at Rock the OC Fair - next week we'll let you know how you can share your photos with us!

 

Note:  Bridging Ceremonies at the OC Fair will end at 2:30, not 3 pm as the OC Fair program states.

Families Can Enjoy Camp - Aug 31-Sept 3rd

Campers of all ages will enjoy this fun-filled weekend to explore scenery and join in staff-planned outdoor activities. Take aim at the bulls-eye, hike miles of trails, paddle canoes across the lake and more. Register early at www.campscherman.com.

Rock the Fair lanyards, hats, patches, black & white tShirts and seatshirts are all in stock and ready to be worn at the fair! Shop Online or come in now through Thursday, July 26th to purchase your goodies at our promotional pre-sale price, otherwise stop by one of our four GSOC shops at the fair this Friday to purchase everything at regular price.

*To ensure you receive your items before the event, order online by 7/24 if you request for your items to be picked up at a program center.
