 BUILDING A WORLD-CLASS INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS FROM THE GROUND UP
SoBe Music Institute (SoBe Institute of the Arts) has a long term mission to develop and build of a world-class arts education and performance institute in the south for the community and for professionals. We model our mission somewhat like California Institute of the Arts and The Juilliard School, but built from the ground up with its own distinct educational and performance philosophy. This independent arts institute is especially needed in South Florida and in all areas south of NCSA.
We are a non-profit arts & education 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization that strives to work closely with the major arts institutions of the area, including the New World Symphony, the Miami City Ballet, The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, and others.
We are located in the center of the cultural arts district (CANDO) of Miami Beach. We provide exceptional and acclaimed professional concerts and other related events free and open to the public, as well as world-class arts & music education to adults and children without regard to their socio-economic situation (currently 50% of our youngest students receive full-scholarships and all students are subsidized to some extent).
