Greetings!
Happy New Year!
This is an exciting time in
the development of SoBe Music Studio*. In the
future, SoBe Music Studio will become the School of
Music within a new Institute of the Arts in Miami.
Our plans are in motion for numerous organizational
changes. Group Classes & Workshops are now
forming. New After-School & Summer Camp programs
are being implemented and planned for the cities of
Miami, Miami-Beach and Miami-Dade County. A
major proposal to the City of Miami Beach has been
completed, proposing to move into historic city
buildings for a campus within the new Cultural District
and begin a county-wide Music (& Arts) for Youth
program.
Please Join us and support us on our
journey: Your tax-deductible donation would be
used to further the development of our mission to
provide low or no cost arts programs to our kids
regardless of their economic circumstances and help
us build a much needed world-class institute of the
arts in Miami.

New After-School Music Immersion Program
South Point Elementary School, Miami Beach
Mystery Park Arts/SoBe Music Studio is proud to
announce the implementation of Music for Youth, our
proprietary & unique after-school music immersion
program, for South Point Elementary School on Miami
Beach which began on Monday, February 5, 2007.
During this program, professional musician /
instructors will introduce musical principles based on
one of four instruments, with a varied curriculum
suited to a child's learning abilities. Since this is
usually a child's first introduction to a structured
music program, Mystery Park Arts creates a fun
atmosphere for learning and experiencing music
without intimidation. The unique and multifaceted
immersion program is designed not only to be
entertaining and exciting, but also to help the
students develop a deepened sense of musical
phrase, structure and form, as well as improve their
performance skills.

Major Proposal to the City of Miami Beach
New Institute Campus & Music for Youth Program
A few weeks ago Mystery Park Arts Company, Inc.
(the not-for-profit parent company of SoBe Music
Studio) submitted a major new proposal to the City of
Miami Beach for a city-wide Music for Youth After-
School program and summer camps for instruments
and voice/music-theater (and other arts in the
future). The proposal also included the utilization of
historic city buildings in the designated Cultural
District for a present and future campus site for our
programs and a new world-class Institute of the Arts
for community arts learning and a degree granting
higher education component as well. This fifty-five
page proposal was four months in the making and
involved hundreds of hours of work by staff, board
members, advisors and faculty alike.
Feel free to contact us anytime and please
make your voice heard by contacting your local
city
council members to show your support for our
proposal. Keep your fingers crossed!
