DOG OWNER CHARGED WITH ANIMAL CRUELTY

 

 

 

            On Saturday 11/17/07, Detectives from the Suffolk County SPCA arrested Antonia Bonanno of Copiague and charged  her with two (2) counts of Animal  Cruelty.

 

            According to Roy Gross, Chief of the Suffolk County SPCA, on September 23, 2007 Suffolk County SPCA Special Response Team members executed a warrant at 24 Lake Grove Blvd, Centereach, NY11720 and rescued two dogs that were left by Ms. Bonanno to starve to death without food or water in a abandoned house for over a week. If convicted,  Ms. Bonanno faces one (1) year in prison and a $1,000.00 fine for each count of cruelty.Ms Bonanno is scheduled to appear in Suffolk County First District Court on January 25, 2008 to answer the charges.
