Greetings!

Rescued - Beginning of a Happy New Life - Rescued

If you're like most of us, falling in love with a pet is easy. And no wonder! Sharing your home with a four-legged friend can be one of life's greatest joys. Dogs, cats, and other pets give us unconditional loyalty and acceptance, provide constant companionship, and even help relieve stress after a hard day's work.

The Suffolk County SPCA, as part of its daily humane law enforcement operations, rescued two Jack Russell Terriers from a cold unheated home in Suffolk County. They were found without food or water and an uncertain future. These two loving dogs were transported by our veterinarian to his office, treated, spay and neutered. Now these rescued Jack Russell Terriers are starting a second chance in life with a new loving, caring home with Richard & Kristy McLaren.

Thank You Richard & Kristy for opening your hearts and your home to these rescued four-legged friends! Thanks also to everyone who offered to help!

Adopting a pet, though, is a big decision. Dogs and cats require lots of time, money, and commitment-over 15 years' worth in many cases. Pet ownership can be rewarding, but only if you think through your decision before you adopt a companion. Visit your local animal shelter, humane group or contact the Suffolk County SPCA to

Give a loving pet the Gift of a loving Home.
