March is Women's History Month and we're featuring the importance of women and girls empowerment for all ages, here in New York City and around the world.  

Did you know... 
-Women perform 66% of the world's work, but receive only 11% of the world's income and own only 1% of the world's land.

-Women account for 55% of U.S. college students, but even when women have equal years of education to men, it does not translate into economic opportunities. 

How we support women & girls 

We empower women and girls in all of our programs! At our Edgies Teen Center, we recently launched a girls empowerment initiative called Global Girls, which culminated in a service learning trip to Honduras for a group of teens (pictured above) that transformed their self-esteem and academic & personal motivations.
