Spiritual Narration:The Price Paid
The man was crying because he had lost his fortune; then, evil came and using his astuteness and darkness of conscience said: " I can give you, your fortune back, even more, I will give you jewels, castles, diamonds." And the man asked: " You will be asking for my soul, right?" And evil said: " Do not worry, that is bad publicity, those were other times, now things have changed . Now, I ask for little and give a lot. And what I have to ask you for, is something that you have in your home and you have forgotten." And the man thought: " This evil is a fool. It seems a good offer to me. It does not matter what I can have at home if in exchange I will recuperate my fortune and even more."
And he told evil: " All right, where do I have to sign?" And evil said: " There is nothing to sign. I trust your word." In that same moment, the life of that man changed and he became the richest man in the world, in exchange for nothing. But this man was curious and wanted to know what the evil had taken from his house. So he went home and what he found was a coffin, he looked at it and said these words:
" Mother, forgive me for forgetting you, I should have never forgotten you."
