Online Certification Maintenance

APICS has launched an online Certification Maintenance Program application form, which will enable all certification maintenance candidates to submit applications through the APICS web site. The new submission method offers the following enhancements:

  • Pre-populated contact information
  • Secure electronic payment
  • Automatic response to candidates that the application has been received
  • Combined point tracking form and professional development journal
  • Quicker response time
  • Ability to update and re-submit information if required
  • Electronic notification of approval or denial (with specific denial reason) within one week.

A printable form will still be available for those who wish to pay by check. The online and printable application forms can be accessed through  http://www.apics.org/careers-education-professional-development/certification/maintenance.

Take the Plunge

"I hate you! I'm going to kill you tonight after you fall asleep." screamed nine year old Jerry to his foster mother. It was hard to believe such hateful words could come from this adorable child with big blue eyes and an impish face.

Dee loves Jerry and wants to adopt him, but these angry outbursts frighten her (I have changed their names to protect their privacy). She tries to imagine what he will be like, if he does not learn how to control his anger, when he is a teenager and outsizes her in both height and weight. The court says she has to make a decision this month on whether or not to keep him. And, she is torn about what to do.
