Dear Colleague

Before we get into the July 4th holiday this weekend, I wanted to show you a case study about how you can get outlier extraction into production in less than one week using Pintail products. Many enhancements have been made to TestVision for DPAT analysis and I think you will find our story compelling. Also, some thoughts on Pintail's policy of providing 24X7 worldwide support to all of our customers and how our competitors are embracing our long standing product strategies.

Outlier Extraction Demystified
What's a "good looking outlier?"
good looking outlierIn addition to being effective in identifying true reliability weaknesses, it needs to be efficient in that it does not produce excessive yield loss via overkill. But in addition to those qualities, techniques for deploying outlier extraction to production need to be fast and pragmatic for everyday use.
For several years now, Pintail has been selling outlier extraction tools to help organizations improve their quality by reducing field failures. We have noticed that  most organizations take many months of planning and analysis to deploy these solutions to production. This paper shows how you can improve the reliability of single, critical device and get it into production within one week. Click here for a case study about Fuse Trimming.

Back to the Future
back to the futureThe Story of SwifTest

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. Recently we have noticed our competitors quietly endorsing the Pintail strategy first introduced over 5 years ago. This calls for a refresher on what the key elements of the strategy are in our own words!

It began last year when a vendor whose strategy was largely based upon databases and hardware-based cell controllers, quietly introduced a software-only ATE monitor.

Please forward this newsletter to anyone in your organization interested in learning more about on-line Adaptive Test, yield improvement, real-time monitoring or real-time data analysis. Drop me a note if you have recommendations for future topics of interest to you.

Sincerely,
