| A Mistake in Jesus' Lineage? |
Rev.5:2 KJV And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. If I had been consulted during the initial planning, Jesus' lineage would have been slightly different. It's kindof a no-brainer... I'm actually surprised that God missed this detail. Jesus should obviously have been identified as the Lion (the champion) of the tribe of Levi. He clearly should have come from the lineage of the priesthood (the Levites), rather than from the tribe of praise and the family tree and pedigree of David the worshiper...!Is it possible this was not an oversight but was actually intentional? Is there a remote chance that God deliberately planned your and my spiritual bloodline to extend through the lineage of worshipers rather than the priestly lineage? Selah.\o/ |
