| The Great Trap |
|
It is a remarkable and supernatural event when the human heart discovers that God truly wants to supply, provide and bless--when the soul becomes aware that God is a good and loving God, not a vindictive and condemning overlord.
However, the revelation of the gospel and certainly our realization that God has authorized a plan whereby we can live within His blessing and grace will inevitably be challenged by this--by the greatest of the enemy's traps. The enemy will inevitably challenge our human nature.
The normal reaction when hearing that God genuinely wants to supply and provide, is to become personally consumed with the pursuit of His hands and His favor! (...And as any orphan, consumed with our own provision, accumulation and protection.)
There is only one defense against this inevitable trap--there is one lone means of defeating this unavoidable and deadly distraction which the devil will always employ. For our revelation of the Good News to be complete, it must be based on worship! The framework of this revelation must be established within a worshiper's heart! The attraction must ultimately be God Himself and not just His ability to make my life more pleasant. (...And the trap will always be to make me think that the goal is to simply trying to make a better life.)
Worship is the vital foundation of our message, the Good News that we communicate. Selah! \o/
