Act 10:34 KJV Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons. (Or as other translations state, God shows no partiality, or favoritism.)
Unfortunately, most people are quick to quote and apply this verse, without first examining its context. The context reveals that in truth, God is extremely partial!
Act 10:34 AMP And Peter opened his mouth and said: Most certainly and thoroughly I now perceive and understand that God shows no partiality and is no respecter of persons, 35 But in every nation he who venerates and has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly, is acceptable to Him and sure of being received and welcomed [by Him].
Note that Peter is not contending that everyone of every nation is received by God. He is specifying that God loves and welcomes worshipers, regardless of their nationality. Doubtlessly, God is no respecter ... among worshipers!
Act 10:34 MSG "...It's God's own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! 35 It makes no difference who you are or where you're from--if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. As Rev 22:17 NLT says, "...Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life." (...And He's always the rewarder of those who diligently, passionately seek Him!) Selah. \o/
