| The Key to the "Treasure Chest" |

Is. 48:17 AMP Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way that you should go. 18 Oh, that you had hearkened to My commandments! Then your peace and prosperity would have been like a flowing river, and your righteousness [the holiness and purity of the nation] like the [abundant] waves of the sea.
Extraordinary promises! The Lord your God .... who a) teaches to profit and b) leads you in the way you should go...! Amen! Direction and provision. Notice, this is how God identifies Himself! ...As the God who willingly provides both the destination and the complete provision for the journey.
Thankfully, He also provides the key to v.17's "treasure chest." The declaration of v.17 must be preceded by the key/secret/gateway of v.16.
Is. 48:16 AMP "Come near to me and listen..." This indeed is worshiper-talk! "Come near to me... and listen!" He could certainly have just said, listen carefully..., but He specified, "Come near to me." When God says this, He has a very special encounter in mind! Amen! Selah.
(Message Translation) Is. 48:16 Come close, listen carefully: I've never kept secrets from you. I've always been present with you." And now, the Master, GOD, sends me and his Spirit 17 with this Message from GOD, your Redeemer, The Holy of Israel: "I am GOD, your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you what to do, where to go. 18 If you had listened all along to what I told you, your life would have flowed full like a river, blessings rolling in like waves from the sea. \o/
