Greetings!
Karyn & I so appreciate you opening this weeks SelahGram.
Singing Among Strangers

Jim & Karyn

Psa 137:4 KJV How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
I know you've discovered how amazingly difficult singing the Lord's song on the battlefield can sometimes be! This "captivity" psalm vividly portrays both the problem and our all-to-often response.

Psa 137:1 NLT Beside the rivers of Babylon [Babylon represents captivity, loss, defeat], we sat and wept.... 2 We put away our harps...  4 MSG Oh, how could we ever sing GOD's song in this wasteland?

When confronted by struggle and seeming defeat, it's the most natural thing in the world to "hang up our harps." It is indeed so easy to sit down on the inside, spiritually "throw in the towel" and silence the song. Singing in a strange land is not natural.

In truth, this is the real battlefield! ...And whatever your circumstance, the true battle being waged is the battle for your song ...the battle for your praise.

Above all else, fight for your song! Guard, protect & defend your song! Today! Selah. \o/
