As we enter our summer months and prepare for the 2nd half of 2010, this is the perfect spot for our 5th annual WOW SelahGram.

 

2Chr.15:2 The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you... 15:12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; 15:15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

 

4 yrs ago, the Lord placed it in my heart to regularly challenge you to make a determined and verbal commitment to genuinely seek Him with your whole heart! It's a simple pledge: one Week Of Worship--7 days of dedicating 30 minutes more than you normally would specifically to worshiping and loving your Heavenly Father. No strings attached--no demands, no requests, no 'noble causes' to advocate, not an extended bible-reading, just 30 minutes of personal, verbal expression of your love, hunger and heart-after-God-pursuit in prayer, singing, silence... Most importantly, not about God, but to God.

 

This commitment will require dedicated planning. Prepare in advance for your daily pursuit and encounter. Set aside (prioritize) a specific, consistent, unfailing time over 7 consecutive days. Insulate those 30 minutes from potential distractions. Prepare to pursue--have worship CD's or cassettes along with your Bible assembled and ready-- (coffee...). Also, keep your notebook handy and listen. Establish a spiritual mark to press toward and don't start your 7 days until you're truly ready!

 

Finally, expect to encounter! Our Father loves to respond to worshiping hearts. He is genuinely a rewarder of those who diligently, passionately seek Him. Selah! Please ponder accepting this challenge. \o/
