Prizing What is Vital

Php 1:6 NKJV "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"

What makes Paul so confident? How can he make this guarantee? We see both the basis for this confidence and assurance in verses 9-11 as I paraphrase from the Amplified.

And this I pray... that your love may abound to its fullest development in knowing (vertical relationship) and insight (for horizontal expression)... So that you may surely learn to sense what is vital-and prize it! ...And becoming pure, unerring and blameless, you may abound in evidence of uprightness, right standing with God (the upright shall dwell in thy presence) ...that His glory may be both revealed and experienced! MSG says, "Getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God." AMP says, "to the honor and praise of God, that His glory may be both manifested and recognized." Amen!

When this is the destination, when our eyes are on this treasure and we prize it as our vital necessity, the good work He has begun in us will surely be completed.
