| Finding The Peace! |
We so tend to get consumed with the struggle, don't we? It seem that in the midst of our crisis, over and over we have to be reminded of this truth. Just speaking out of my heart, allow me to repeat some of the phrases we've discussed in various SelahGram's over the past few months.
God has equipped worshipers to approach life's storms and challenges differently than anyone else. He designed us, as worshipers, to see them from an entirely different perspective and to walk through and conquer them differently. In truth, of the worshiper, He requires this unusual approach.
Yes, in the world, you and I will doubtlessly face tribulation, but the biggest storms always have an eye. The face of the cliff always has a cleft in the rock. Anytime there is an enemy threatening, God always prepares us a table in the presence of that enemy. If there is a tempest, there is a place of peace. If there is a fiery furnace or a lion's den of adversity confronting us, there is always a sanctuary. If there is a struggle, there is a secret place--but only a worshiper will ever find it.
How many deserts in my life have I staggered through and barely survived, never even stopping to look for that table and to find the shelter and protection of Father's presence? ...So intently focused on the desert I'm facing that I never hear Him say, "Here Jim, take the car."
Today, amidst the trial you find yourself surrounded by, take the time, make the time to search for the table, the cleft, the sanctuary--to find the peace! Quiet your mind and spirit. Listen for the still, small voice that beckons... 'Jim, "behold, there is a place by me. Rise up my love, my fair one and come away with me."' (Ex.33/Sol.3) Selah.\o/
