| Deut. 30's Remarkable "Key To Your Life" |
 Actually, as I've been studying De.30 in recent days, I have been immersed primarily in two extraordinary highlights. This landmark chapter contains one of the Bible's greatest promises for families and children while also declaring one of the Bible's greatest challenges--all worship/intimate-relationship related. Having just declared to Israel, 'If you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice with all your heart and with all your soul...,' the account continues:
Deu 30:6 AMP "And the Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with all your being, that you may live." NLT states, "The LORD your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love Him with all your heart and soul and so you may live!"
What an amazing promise this is! If you and I start the wholehearted pursuit, He (His grace) will complete the process and close the deal! "...So that you may live!" This great promise leads directly to a similarly powerful choice.
Deu 30:19 NLT "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20 You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying Him, [AMP: cling to Him] and committing yourself firmly to Him. This is the key to your life." Selah.\o/
