Leadership Event with

"From Survival to Synergy: Visioning Renewed Mission through Viable Options for the Local Church."
This session will explain viable options for revitalizing your local church in a changing world, discerning clear choices, and namingleadership tasks essential to successfully move toward God's preferred future. Time will also be given to assessing your current situation as well as exploring key steps to gain support and lowering resistance within the congregation. |

Called District Conference

The purpose of this called meeting is to vote on a recommendation from the District Committee on Superintendency.
Voting members of the District Conference are: Local church lay leader, chair of the administrative council or administrative board and council on ministries, presidents of United Methodist Youth, United Methodist Women, and United Methodist Men, finance committee chairperson or treasurer, all members of the district discipleship team, chairpersons of all district boards and committees, district treasurer, annual conference lay members and at-large lay members, diaconal ministers, deacons in full connection, and pastors serving within the district.

Invisible Children

There is an invisible war in Africa: one man, Joseph Kony, terrorizing 5 countries. Children are abducted from their homes and forced to fight. Invisible Children is a movement seeking to end this conflict and bring them home. It seeks to rebuild schools, educate future leaders, and provide jobs in Northern Uganda.
Representatives of Invisible Children will share their story and you can find out what you can do to help bring these children home.

Direct Invoicing/Fair Share Tithe Informational Meeting

Holston Conference Treasurer John Tate will be on hand to provide specific information on the impact of Direct Invoicing and the Fair Share Tithe on your church.
Pastors, Treasurers, FInance Chairs, Administrative Council Chairs should attend. This is your LAST opportunity to learn more about the process for Direct Invoicing and the Fair Share Tithe before these procedures begin January 1. |

Joey Manis will be teaching the basic course; Randy Frye will lead United Methodist Heritage, Charles Maynard will lead Lay Speakers Tell Stories, and Tim Bracken will teach Lay Speakers Preach.
