Going Green with Artwork at the Swope with Art Totality

free family event at the Swope Art Museum on June 19.
Art Totality and the Swope Art Museum teamed up to bring you the latest and greatest family activities that are all centered around reduce, reuse and recycle artwork.
From noon-4pm you can bring your family to the Swope to enjoy an afternoon of fun. Plan on spending about an hour at the museum playing around with the different art activities and booths.

"Play Ball!" with Allen Chapel
This year's Friends of Historic
Allen
Chapel fundraiser. will be baseball
oriented, with popcorn, peanuts, and cracker jack, ISU's
winningest
baseball coach Bob Warn, baseball songs, the classic "Who's
on
First?," performed by Jerry Burns and friend, songs from "Damn Yankees"
performed by Jackie Lynn, and baseball bloopers on a big-screen
TV.
A baseball buffet will also include barbecue, hot dogs, baked beans,
potato
salad, cheese, potato chips, tea, and coffee.
There will also be a Silent Auction
Play Ball! will be Saturday, July 31, 6:30 pm, in ISU's the Heritage Lounge
and

with Candace Minster of White Violet Center for Eco-Justice. Take advantage of the bounty of local foods available
at the Downtown Terre Haute Farmers Market
or through your own CSA subscription. Get tips on how to make the most of
what's in season, the best ways to deal with misunderstood veggies like
eggplant and okra, and some simple ideas for how to plan menus while browsing
the vendors.

Concerts in the Park: June 19
The Terre Haute Community Band's
June 19 concert will be held in the YWCA
gymnasium on the south side of Fairbanks Park.
Subsequent concerts will be held
in the Fairbanks Park outdoor band stage. The concerts are free and open to the public. Click here for concert details.

St.
Benedict Parish's 13th annual Community Festival will be held on Friday, July 9 and Saturday, July 10,
at
9th and Ohio Streets in Downtown Terre Haute. Admission for those over 21 is just $2.
The Kick-off Lunch
is on
Friday, July 9 from 11am-1pm .
Activities during the regular festival hours include
family games,
casino games, food booths, beer garden, indoor flea market, and a cash raffle w/prizes totaling $5,000.
The musical line-up features Crooked Creek, Dave and Rae, Mojo Gumbo, and Fabulous Imports. More details to come!
