Halcyon Contemporary Art Gallery presents a photography exhibit by artists John Gardner and Edward
Gillum during the month of May.
Gardner and Gillum possess unique
creative visions but share an interest in the working techniques and processes
of the medium.

Author Richard McHugh:
Friday book signing at BookNation
Friday evening, May 7, 5:30 - 7:00
The author of three books, Richard McHugh was born in Shelburn,
Indiana in 1929. He will sign copies of his books at BookNation this
Friday evening from 5:30 until 7:00.
His memories and knowledge of the Great
Depression's final years and WW II provide much of the
material in his written work. "The Nazis and Their Friends vs.
Shelburn" is McHugh's 2009 analysis of the effects of World War II on small American communities. More here

Spring
Thyme Plant and Herb Faire
The Wabash Valley Herb Society's "Spring Thyme Plant and Herb Faire,"
will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, May 9.
The faire will take place rain or shine at Fairbanks Park, located on
the bank of the Wabash River.
Admission is free.
There will be a wide variety of plants for sale again this year. These
will include the more common herbs, as well as other herbs, annuals and
perennials.
