Welcome back for the 2009-10 school year. Thanks to
the generous support of ACELINK from the school
administrative level, we continue to receive funding
this year for bringing interactive videoconference
programs to your classroom.
Our program has been funded to provide up to 4 free
interactive video programs for each teacher per year.
As usual, specific program opportunities will be
published on a monthly basis, and we'll also send out
program descriptions that align to grade levels and
standards throughout the year.
We have a NEW online link to use to request
programs, so teachers have a choice to fill out the
Request Form and fax it in or complete the online form
by copying and pasting the following link into your
browser: http://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE?

| September Programs for Grade 4 - Simple Machines |
 |
|
Help Professor Gadgeteer identify simple machines
inside wind-up toys. Hypothesize what's inside the
toys before your program, then take them apart with
the COSI Columbus demonstrator during the show.
Each program includes hands-on materials for 30
students that will be used during the 60 minute show,
and materials for many additional hours of in class
activities.
This program is already scheduled for two dates, and
these will be filled on a first-come, first saved basis.
Additional dates/times can also be scheduled through
ACELINK.
- Sept. 21 @ 1:00 p.m.
- Sept. 28 @ 10:00 a.m.

| Program for Grades K-2 - Butterflies |

|
Each student will construct a Butterfly Marionette while
participating in learning activities about the lifecycle of
the butterfly, what makes a butterfly an insect, and
coloring and camouflage. Video clips and
photographs of the different stages in the life of a
butterfly are included. This is a great arts and science
lesson all in one!
This is a 45 minute program, and there are two
sessions reserved, which are filled on a first-come,
first served basis. Additional dates/times can also be
set up on request.
The dates for this program are:
- Sept. 22 @ 1:00 p.m.
