numerous. What will we find upon landing? Join the
Challenger Learning Center for a voyage to the Red
Planet.

Grades: K-9(will customize)
How big was the biggest dinosaur? What sort of
plants did Triceratops like to eat? Did trilobites live
during the Age of Dinosaurs? Questions like these,
and more, are answered as a Science Educator
tackles your students' toughest palaeontological
ponderings.
Prior to the program, students
develop curriculum-based questions with your
guidance within the provided categories. Animations,
video clips and images support the responses to the
topics covered, and real fossils are viewed through
our desktop camera.

Title: Wolf Ecology
Provider: Int'l Wolf Center for Learning
Grades: 3-7
Explore the world of the wolf! Using the wolf as a
fascinating case study, students examine the
important roles that predators, prey and scavengers
play in the ecosystems where wolves live. Through an
interactive simulation we will demonstrate the way
energy and nutrients flow through an ecosystem. We'll
find out what a wolf eats for dinner and watch short
video clips of wolves hunting for their prey in three
ecosystems. All programs feature real-time
observations of the International Wolf Center's
resident ambassador wolves.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Students will be able to:
- define predator, prey and scavenger
- explain the flow of energy through an ecosystem
- predict wolf and prey population dynamics over
time
- list three prey species a wolf might eat
- compare and contrast three ecosystems where
wolves live

| New: Weather Watch! from COSI Columbus |

Title: Weather Watch!
Provider: COSI Columbus
Grades: 4-7
Work with COSI's newest Storm Spotter to learn how
changes in air pressure and temperature can affect
the weather. Students will take and use readings from
barometers and thermometers to help them predict
basic weather patterns. They will also explore air
pressure using everyday objects and understand why
changes in weather often occur around cold and
warm fronts. All materials for pre- and post-visit
activities are included in the kit.
Each program includes hands-on materials for 30
students that will be used during the 60 minute show,
and materials for many additional hours of in class
activities.

Title: Gadget Works: Forces & Motion
Grades: 2-6
A Fun Lesson on Forces! Join Professor Gadgeteer to
learn about forces and
motion by taking apart wind-up toys. Trace the energy
flow through the toys and help Professor Gadgeteer
solve a puzzle involving the motion of a toy car as a
post-visit activity.

To request any video conference,
complete and
fax in the ACELINK Content/Program Request
Form.
The form is available through the ACELINK website, or you can contact us
at
481-0741 (office) or schaufes@ipfw.edu.
If a program is already scheduled, we will
fill
requests on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please
make sure your school schedule matches the
program's dates and times.
If a program is offered on demand, you'll
need to provide two to three dates and times
you
would prefer when you request the program.
ACELINK funds are available to pay content
provider fees for up to three video
conferences
per teacher. Only ACELINK member schools are
eligible for this funding. Please contact me if you have
a special circumstance that requires more
funding.
Note: We must have an ACELINK
Content/Program Request Form completed in
order to
approve a request for a video conference.
