Longview Named One of Nation's 100 Best
Communities for Young People
Longview achieved national recognition as one of America's Promise Alliance's 100 Best Communities for Young People presented by ING for its initiatives to help young people The competition recognizes communities across the country that focus on reducing high school dropout rates and providing service and support to their youth.  Longview is a two-time 100 Best winner, previously receiving the honor in 2008.  For the complete story, click here.

Chamber's Total Resource Campaign

4th Reporting Luncheon: $162,871

 

The 2011 Total Resource Campaign fourth reporting luncheon numbers were announced last week and over $162,000 was reported and 16 New Members!

 

Top Winners for the fourth reporting period were Dan Droege, First Bank and Trust East Texas; Barbara Smith, KLTV and Karen Partee, Texas Bank and Trust.

Pew Fiscal Analysis Initiative Publishes Fiscal Charts
