KSL Construction Services Ltd Onsite Classification: General Contracting & Millwork
At last week's onsite members were welcomed to the Carleton University Residence Commons Building by the wonderful smells of hors d'oeuvres being prepared at food stations and the sight of lavish table settings which included ice sculpture centrepieces featuring the KSL logo.
Todd started the meeting by welcoming OXA members and their guests to the onsite and then handed the microphone over to his brother, and KSL's alternate member, Lee.
Lee gave members a brief history of KSL Construction Services Ltd and its evolution over the years from its' inception as Kurt Storm Decorators in 1963, to both Lee and Todd joining the company in the '80s and then on to their purchase of the company in 2003.
Lee touched on a 2006 project done at Carleton University that provided KSL with the opportunity to get into the food services industry and the rest is as they say...history. KSL now does several food insustry contracts a year. Lee presented a PowerPoint that showed some of the many projects KSL has worked on over the years.
After the presentation members and their guests dined on a rare treat of Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon. The meal was topped off with a crepe Suzette station for dessert. Members watched as crepes were made in front of them and then they were able to garnish the crepes with their choice of fresh fruit, chocolate, vanilla or orange sauce and whipped cream. To finish off the evening members were welcomed to have an after dinner drink at the Cognac bar.
Although this was not your typical onsite meal, members welcomed the change. Mike Lacroix and his wife Monica Poirier who had dined at Donald Trump's restaurant in Punta Cana the week before, both agreed that "Todd and Lee definitely out Trumped Donald Trump with this meal." If you would like to learn more about what services KSL Construction has to offer including design, fabrication, production and millwork visit their website or if you would like to discuss a specific project you have in mind contact Todd or Lee at (613) 746-5785.
