Adrian started his craft talk last week by advising members of Valpak's Mission Statement - to be the best advertising Vehicle our clients have done business with. Adrian talked about how the Internet has changed the way people shop and how the vast majority of consumers consider the Internet a vital shopping tool. He advised that the phone is no longer the consumers preferred means of response. Today, approximately 66% of people respond to an ad by going online before calling or visiting a store. Adrian talked about the tremendous opportunity this presents businesses to engage customers in brand new ways. Some of these ways include:
- using QR codes that can be scanned with any Smartphone
- using SMS texting codes which allow a consumer to simply text for more information or to receive a special offer
- having online landing pages which are easily designed webpages geared to engage the consumer and capture information about what their needs are so the business can serve them better
Adrian discussed these new additions to Valpak's online and print products and how they can dramatically increase responses and return on investments. He also talked about how these new interaction methods can be measured and how leads can be captured to help businesses close more sales now and in the future. He explained how this allows a business to better manage the sales process and automatically send appropriate responses by email or text and distribute leads within their company without lifting a finger.
