Eric and Blair Armstrong of Armstrong & Richardson Ltd

 

Since 1934, Armstrong and Richardson has been fitting the Ottawa community with fine women's and men's shoes, boots and accessories. Offering the latest trends from the world's most trusted brand names, they take great pride in their wide selection of quality shoes, and their commitment to unmatched customer service.

 

On May 4, Eric and Blair Armstrong along with their family and staff hosted OXA members at their annual on-site event which was held at their Kanata location in the Signature Centre.  Eric welcomed everyone, introduced his family and staff (who did a great job helping members find just the right pair of shoes) and then gave everyone a brief overview of Armstrong & Richardson's rich history.

 

Armstrong and Richardson was founded in 1934 by Eric's grandfather Omar Armstrong and his partner Clarence Richardson.  Their first store was located at 79 Sparks St. and as the city has grown so has Armstrong and Richardson.  They now have 6 locations throughout the city: Carlingwood Mall, Billings Bridge Plaza, St. Laurent Shopping Centre, Place D'Orleans Shopping Centre, Place D'Orleans Shopping Centre - Clearance Centre and the Kanata Signature Centre.

 

With 77 years of serving Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, Armstrong and Richardson has seen many changes in both the business and the industry.  The one thing that has remained constant is their commitment to providing quality footwear and outstanding service with fitting expertise.

 

Eric also advised members that as a result of their commitment to customer service they have just been recognized with a Consumer's Choice for the Best Shoe Store for the fourteenth year in a row. This comes in addition to earning a place on the Better Business Bureau's Honor Roll.  They have also been a member of the Ottawa Executives' Association since its inception in 1936.  As a Charter member, they take pride in the good leads received and provided and the friendships they have built.  

 

Once again we say "Thanks" to Manny Melios of Hemingway's Catering and his staff for providing a wonderful meal!
