Konica Minolta's corporate message, "The essentials of imaging," expresses their desire to be recognized as an essential enterprise in the world of imaging. To this end, they strive to be a corporation that continues to create inspiring products and services in the field of imaging, as well as a global corporation that leads the market with advanced technologies and reliability by conducting business under our management philosophy, "The Creation of New Value." Konica Minolta offer high-quality services and solutions, along with a wide variety of product groups combining their four core technologies: materials, optics, nano-fabrication and imaging.
At last week's onsite Ron started his presentation by giving members a brief history of Konica Minolta Business Services. Globally Konica Minolta was founded in 1873. They have 30,000+ employees with 5 Major divisions. Konica Minolta has a solution for every business need and Ron talked about some of the items to note "from the desktop to the print shop." He touched on several of the different copiers available such as the bizhub office which is designed for ease-of-use as well as some of the interesting print features available on some machines, including 11.5" x 47" banner printing, and high definition polymerized toner. Ron also discussed how Konica is a leader in providing security features on their devices. Advising that all Konica devices come with EAL Level 3 (international certification) right out of the box which means that there are no additional costs.
Ron talked about Konica's Optimized Print Service which is an "end-to-end" solution that provides the necessary services required to control output costs by assuming responsibility for day-to-day management of printing infrastructure. This is a division which is new within the last year or so and has approx. 30 people who are among the most experienced in the industry available to help management focus on core business needs by providing supplies, hardware, service, training, support and workflow improvements.
